Avoiding disappointment

While writing my Christmas card to my bff, a friend told me that he's no good with cards. This reminded me of some relationships I've been in. Forgetting birthdays, forgetting I existed. Men can be such a disappointment! I've grown accustomed to being disappointed by the men in my life that when someone shows me attention it really freaks me out.

To avoid being disappointed by men I have a couple suggestions:-

• Screen the men you're interested in. This can otherwise be known as getting to know the men in your life particularly before embarking on a relationship with one.
• Simply avoid men.

Personally, I can't bear to be disappointed by a man anymore. Been there, done that, own their t-shirts! So in my case, simply avoiding men works out quite well.
